The Centre for Media Studies (CMS), in partnership with the U.S. Consulate General, Mumbai, hosted the ‘Green Frames: VATAVARAN Short Film Competition and Festival 2023’. Centered on the theme of “Environmental Preservation and Climate Advocacy”, this initiative spotlighted the urgency of environmental conservation, climate adaptation, and mitigation.
A total of 750 films were submitted for the competition. A nomination jury in New Delhi reviewed the submissions and shortlisted 241 films. From this selection, 41 films were nominated and forwarded to the award jury, which ultimately chose 7 films to receive awards.
The competition celebrated inspiring stories of individuals, communities, and organizations addressing environmental challenges, encouraging lifestyle choices that positively impact the plane.
