5th International Entertainment Education Conference -EE5


CMS was a collaborating partner at the 5th International Entertainment Education Conference -EE5 organised at IHC, New Delhi on November 17 to 20 by John Hopkins University (JHU).

CMS independently organised a panel on “Evolution of EE in Indian Television” with eminent speakers from Doordarshan, STAR TV & Zee TV. This session was moderated by PN Vasanti, Director CMS and MINT columnist.

CMS also collaborated with JHU to organise a panel “Strengthening Practical Skills for Program Design and Impact: Making theories and data work for you!” This workshop mode panel was facilitated by Douglas Storey (JHUCCP) and P N Vasanti (CMS).

CMS presented its work and four year experience on evaluation and monitoring of the longest running EE soap in Doordarshan “Kyunki jeena isa ka naam hai” in a special panel organised by UNICEF during EE5. Ms Paramita Dasgupta, Deputy Director CMS gave an elaborate presentation on the role of research in this novel EE endeavour.
