| Government of Andhra Pradesh has planned a series of initiatives to curb the HIV/AIDS epidemic. To garner media support and to make them part of their endeavors, AP Government (along with UNICEF) wanted to form an AP Media Forum for HIV/AIDS. CMS was requested to facilitate the formation of such a Forum. CMS organized a Media Summit of the Media Owners, Publishers and Senior Editors in Andhra Pradesh in July 2005. The aim of this Summit was to seek support of Leaders in the Media and Entertainment Industry for AASHA and to request them to lead the formation of this Forum. The purpose of this Forum would be to interact at regular intervals with the Media Industry and provide them with feedback on their role and initiatives. Since, the media summit, a core group of senior Media professionals are responsible for taking forward the Media Forums initiatives in the state. |

Consultation with media persons (from all over India) on Leprosy was conducted by CMS not only to sensitise them but also to revitalize and make them partners in achieving the target of eliminating leprosy by year 2005, which was declared as Year of Eliminating Leprosy, in January 2005.
Field visits to Leprosy hospitals for the journalists and reporters were arranged for one to one interaction with medical experts (Leprosy) and those affected with Leprosy, which resulted in coverage in regional newspapers.

| This three days workshop was designed and organized by CMS. CMS also shared the findings of the review study (IEC Review) with the concerned IEC officials and Project Directors of all the State AIDS Control Societies in the country. The report was then published by CMS as "Rewind for Fast Forward" -A review of State level IEC initiatives on HIV/AIDS

| Opportunities & Challenges! Indian Media Operations " Recent shifts in paradigm of Media Operations" National Round Table Discussion held at India International Centre, June25, 2004, New Delhi, CERC Ahmedabad, October 12, 2004, CESS, Hyderabad, July 31, 2004. |
| National Round table discussions were organized at three places to share the findings of CMS media Lab study on 'Paradigm shifts in Media Operations' to sensitize policy makers, media practitioners, civil society groups on changing character, role and influence of the media.
