Established in 1991, CMS is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to research-driven initiatives that enable policy makers to take informed decisions on development and social change to improve quality of life. CMS is widely recognized for the rigour of its study methodologies, the innovative approaches that it brings to research initiatives and for credibility of its findings.
Over the past two decades CMS has engaged with issues of social development, environment, behavioural change, transparency in governance, organizational effectiveness, network analysis, impact of media, use of communication technology for networking and service delivery. The approach has been one of knowledge accretion and dissemination and in this process CMS has emerged as an inter-disciplinary professional body.
The various teams at CMS work in tandem and are yet independent groups specializing in their sectors. The teams are CMS Social, CMS Communication, CMS Environment, CMS Surveys, CMS Symbols, CMS Media Lab, CMS Transparency Studies and CMS Academy of Communication & Convergence Studies.
ADMINISTRATION
1. Job Title: Receptionist cum Front Office Executive (2):
Eligibility: Graduation and two years experience as Receptionist cum Front Office Executive in reputed organization. Good communication skills in spoken and written English, and good telephone etiquettes are a must. Experience in Office administration will be an added advantage.
2. Job Title: Computer Operator Cum Data Entry Operator/ Analyst:
Eligibility: At-least Graduation and two years experience in reputed organization. Experience in Hindi typing is desirable.
FIELD OPERATIONS
3. Job Title: Field Operation Manager
Graduation with at least five years experience in field. Good communication skills in spoken and written English and Hindi. Working knowledge other local language will be an added advantage.
Job Responsibilities include: Preparing budget, arranging field manpower for different projects, secondary data collection and in-depth interviews, over all quality control through back-checks, accompaniments and scrutiny, briefing to interviewers and supervisors, co-ordination with researchers and analysis people and field agencies.
RESEARCH
4. Job Title: Researchers: Communication Research Team
5. Job Title: Researchers: Social and Health Research Team
Eligibility: Applicants should be PhD/Postgraduates in Social Science subjects with a minimum work experience in social development research for at least three years. The applicant must have sound knowledge of data analysis, writing reports in English and having working knowledge in computers. Experience in Qualitative Research will be additional qualification appreciated.
Job Responsibilities include: Secondary Research, Data Collection, Field Visits, Training Field Teams and Data Analysis and Report Writing.
6. Job Title: CONSULTANTS
(Middle Level)
Eligibility: Experienced in Social Science Research with extensive understanding on Public Health Issues and with a minimum work experience of 10-12 years. Understanding on National Rural Health Mission, Millennium Development Goals and State Level Health System will be an asset.
Job Responsibilities include: Policy Review, Preparation of Concept Note & Policy Briefs, Organizing Workshop, Preparation of Report etc.
CMS VATAVARAN - ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE FILM FESTIVAL
India's premier biennial competitive and travelling Environment and Wildlife Film Festival, CMS VATAVARAN was initiated in 2002 as one of the activity of CMS towards raising awareness about environment issues. 7. Job Title: Communication Manager
Eligibility: Post-graduates in Public Relations/ Mass Communication/ Advertising with minimum 5 years experience in coordinating the promotion of products, services and public image.
Skills: Applicants should have good communication skill (written and spoken). Sound knowledge of design including web designing and printing methods. Ability to develop communication plans and use media outlets intelligently. Should have good contacts in the media and have sound knowledge of environmental and other social issues
Personal Qualities: Excellent interpersonal skills and the drive to form and maintain relationships through teamwork and networking. Ability to work under pressure and be able to multitask. An outgoing personality with natural traits for meeting new people. Flexible to travel outside Delhi at short notice.
Tasks and Duties: Responsibilities include developing communication strategies and plans. Compose, re-write and edit reports, brochures, speeches, articles, press releases, website and audio-visual and radio content. Coordinate and negotiate with designers, artists, photographers, printers, videographers, video editors for production of communication and publicity materials. Keep the organization and clients up to date with company news and provide the public with information when it is required. Work with fellow colleagues across the organisation to implement communication plans. Develop and maintain strong contacts within various media circles, maintaining the overall message of the organisation.
8. Job Title: Programme Officer - CMS Environment Team
Eligibility: Ideal candidate will be a postgraduate in social sciences (preferably in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Education, Mass communication or Humanities).
Skills: Candidates with strong communications skills (written and oral). Ability to handle work independently and with team.

- Liasion and networking with Educational Institutes, International Development Organizations, Funding Agencies, etc
- Plan and Organise awareness programmes, seminars, workshops, talks on environmental issues
- Assisting various other outreach programmes of the organisation
- Assisting with Trainings, Seminars and Capacity building
- Preparing and producing educational resources aimed at different groups
- Giving talks and presentations
- Prepare, Distribute publicity materials and displays;
- Responding to enquiries
- Writing press releases
